2020 XBIZ Europa Awards Winners Announced

XBIZ held their 2020 Europa Awards event virtually today which featured camguys & camsites operating in Europe.  Fans & industry members voted the last 30 days from a list of nominee's in many different categories.  Here are the winners from categories of interest...

CamGuyNews congratulates all of the winners & nominee's from this years edition of the XBIZ Europa Awards.  Earlier XBIZ announced upcoming changes in their award categories in effort to be more inclusive.  Due to this change it is likely camguy specific categories will be eliminated & merged into a "Cam Model of the Year" category that will feature female, male, & trans webcam performers.

2020 XBIZ Europa Awards Voting Is Open

In what will likely be the last XBIZ show featuring camguy specific awards the XBIZ Europa Awards have announced their nominee's for 2020.  The event will be held live on October 22nd broadcast on XBIZ.tv at 2 p.m. (EST).  Voting is now open at XBIZ & will continue through October 21st.  Just a reminder this is a virtual event for 2020 so your favorite European camguys won't be in attendance for this years show.  Here are the nominee's in a couple categories of interest...

XBIZ announced earlier in September they had made the decision to make changes to the categories at their award events.  In order to be more inclusive all camguy specific categories would be merged into a "Cam Model of the Year" category featuring males, females, & trans models.  This decision is an unfortunate one as we learned during the early years of award shows what this means specifically to camguys.  In a recent CGN article we detail why this actually has the exact opposite effect on inclusivity as XBIZ is trying to promote (CGN Article).  Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below...

XBIZ Shows Eliminate Male Camguy Categories

Earlier this month XBIZ which operates several different adult industry award shows announced changes to their shows categories.  In an effort to be more inclusive awards specifically for camguys have been eliminated from the event.  The webcam categories will now feature a "Cam Model of the Year" & "Clip Artist of the Year" category that will feature all female, male, & trans performers.

When award events first began in the webcam industry there were few if any camguy specific categories in any event.  With the female webcam business dwarfing the size of the camguy side of the business you can imagine how camguys fared.  Slowly award events added some categories for camguys which added a lot of excitement for both camguys & their followers.  However at XBIZ events that excitement will now likely disappear.  Right now only pre-noms (industry only) are ongoing for the upcoming Europa Awards & the January XBIZ events so camguys who enjoy competing for awards in XBIZ events aren't aware of these changes yet.
