Mod Police Twitter Account

This past July a new Twitter page appeared which evaluated the performance of room moderators on Chaturbate.  The owner of the account grades moderators on different criteria including promotion of the camguy, are they welcoming, do they silence when needed, & thanking of tippers.  The page is 'CB Mod Police' (@mod_police). 

Nearly every single chat room on Chaturbate has a moderator or a small team of them.  We've all seen the good & the bad with all the good "mods" adeptly carrying out all the above criteria which allow the performer to focus only on the show.  All of us have probably seen the exact opposite taking place too. These mods reflect poorly just not on themselves but the performer too.  They love having power allowing them to silence anyone, don't silence when needed, don't thank tippers, don't promote the performer, are often rude, & engage in side conversations taking the spotlight off the performer putting it on themselves instead of where it belongs. x Located below are a few of their Tweets about what they do & how they operate.  If you send a moderator review in we'd suggest sending complete information & screen shots if possible as we know it helps us here at CGN.  Take a look at their site & let your favorite Chaturbate performers know about it as it can help them find awesome moderators or evaluate their own.  x

Flirt-4-Free Forum - Gofish Rants About... Whispering

Whispering has long been a topic of debate in the Flirt-4-Free Forums.  Earlier this week Gofish took to the forum yet again ranting how whispering is effecting "chat" on the site.  He believes whispering must be a turn off to many members. Here are his thoughts on whispering...

x We know Gofish struggles to understand something if it doesn't fit his narrative of how the site should be.  He hasn't a clue how many members are in the room, what the topics the conversations are about, or what the relationship is between the performer & members they may be whispering with... x

x As "Brett025" points out Gofish has missed the point & needs to re-read what Danny Grant wrote.  There are valid reasons for whispering but since they take away from his beloved "chatting" he refuses to consider them as valid.  Below he wonders since he likes interacting (but doesn't offer credits) why is he even on the site when he cannot get his chat on... x

x I think "Brett025" makes a good point in countering his rant - performers have always had the option of turning whispering off if it does get to be too much for them to handle.  Most forum posters have always said let the performer control their own room & the site gives them all the tools they need to do so.  Personally, I prefer chatting out in open & whispering only when needed or I am whispered to.  Where do you stand on whispering & do you think it is disrespectful to other members as Gofish says?    xxx x x

Issues With Chaturbate Support For Performers?

Over the years we've all seen some rather curious room bans on Chaturbate for apparently no reason whatsoever.  Just last week during a big group show lead by Dave Slick ended for nearly an hour due to Chaturbate not being able to get their act together as to whether everyone in the group was verified or not.  Then suddenly the room was able to accept tips again much to the surprise of Dave & those in his group. Recently the popular porn company ColbyKnox experienced something similar (yet again) for no reason at all, a fan tweeted his angry email that he sent to Chaturbate... x

x Obviously upset over the situation Mickey Knox understandably needed to vent about the situation.  We also learn what took place during the most recent show & how ColbyKnox still took care of fans in their room.  ColbyKnox has reached out to Chaturbate but they won't even respond to their direct messages or emails to discuss the matter.  The duo has even reached out to Chaturbate asking for a sit down meeting in person or via Skype but the camsite still hasn't responded. x

x Many of the responses to the messages above urge Chaturbate to "get their head out of their asses" to recommending the guys take their shows over to Cam4 or back to Flirt-4-Free.  If you have dealt with Chaturbate Customer Service in the past they usually send out the standard "we've received your inquiry & someone will respond shortly" message.  From my past experience it takes about 5-7 days for them to respond if they even bother to... that's great customer service right? Camsite Guidelines or Rules?

Do you know what the exact rules are that members & performers must abide by on camsites?  On Flirt-4-Free it has changed over the last 10 years & based on what we're seeing nobody really knows for sure anymore.  A few forum posts bringing up different points draws differing reactions from members on each.  First we have cell phone usage by performers & long time member "Asti" shares what he thinks, which seems sensible.  However "Twixel" also makes a good point that phones are used to play music by performers.  If a performer uses their phone to talk to their friends they can come across as disinterested & distracted keeping engagement levels low.  I don't think there should be a ban on cell phones, but performers should be conscious of how members feel.  What do you think about use of cell phones overall?  x

Next we have a member who thinks smoking should be banned from the site.  A performer (Daniel Almonte) makes a great point & long time member Asti also brings up some great past (possibly current?) rules.  Not all members are going to like smoking, I'd ask Daniel & other performers if a cigarette is worth losing a paying customer?  Personally I don't care for it & just last week left a private show for this very reason.  I don't however believe that a ban on smoking should take place.  If a performer is part of a physical studio they do need to follow the studios policies as they are indeed employees of that studio as they withhold the appropriate taxes in the country they operate in - it's what makes webcamming legal in many countries.  What do you think about smoking in chat rooms?

Finally we get to the much discussed topic of nudity & performing in open chat. Member "Train_Rex" asks the question & we get an answer direct from Flirt-4-Free below!  So performers aren't to perform in open chat, however they could be naked in open chat but were not to "stroke" is the rule that I recall.  Over the last several evenings browsing the Flirt-4-Free homepage what I found surprised me.  About 90% of performers online were in compliance with the rule stated by 'VsJim.'  Most who weren't were "NEW" performers which isn't too surprising. Not saying this isn't an issue, but after reading all of those forum posts by Gofish on this you'd think 50% are naked & performing in open chat.  Tell us what you think about nudity in open chat in our comments section below...
