Flirt-4-Free Forum & Non-Chatters

Recently yet another thread regarding 'Members Not Chatting' appeared in the Flirt-4-Free Forum.  The only difference between this thread & all of the others is that a performer started it instead of member Gofish, although he does make an appearance.  So why do so many members just stay silent rather than engage with the performer?  Let's take a look at some of the main reasons for this...  x

x Several reasons are likely tied together as many members are shy & simply don't know what to chat about after exchanging greetings.  Often times checking out a performers bio-page or Twitter will give great ideas as to what the performer is interested in.  If possible another way to find out what the performer is like is to wait & see if he does a Group Show, I often do this to determine whether or not we'd be a good match for a private with it only costing me a few credits & some of my time. (comment below from earlier thread) x

x The fear of being asked to spend credits in the chat room is another reason that many members stay silent.  If they cannot afford credits it could be awkward telling the performer this & they are unsure how the performer may respond to this.  Fortunately, most performers are okay with this as long as the member isn't making requests they cannot compensate the performer for.  In the past a few performers have took to banning members for not having credits but these performers aren't really worth your time & certainly won't be around long term anyway. x Some members are just hoping if they "lurk" long enough they will get a peek at something, a free show, or accrue a few points.  Everyone wants something for free & many camsite members are no different unfortunately.  If attempting to engage members isn't working the performer can start a Group Show & tease a little hoping to draw a few members in or they can just log off clearing their room completely if it really bothers them. x

x Gofish believes that whispering is the cause of this but when no one is chatting how would that be possible???  We've listed what we believe are a few of the main reasons members don't engage with performers & would like our readers to add to this & offer some suggestions performers can try to liven up their chat rooms...        xx

RIP Camguy Dave Slick

2018 Cam Awards Winners: Bucharest Summit Awards, XBIZ Cam Awards, & AW Awards

With the webcam award shows winding down for 2018 we'd like to congratulate the winners of 3 recent shows.  All these shows took place over the last couple of weeks in Miami & the other 2 in Bucharest & Mamaia, Romania.  Listed below are quick overviews of each event & winners from categories of interest.
The 'Bucharest Summit' held their 2nd annual awards show on May 24th.  This year the event was held at Soiree in Bucharest.  Finalists were chosen during a nomination, but then a jury of 11 industry professionals voted live at the event from the list of finalists when each category was called.  Basically the fans who took time to vote in the nominations had no voice in this at all. x The event was streamed lived on YouTube. The 'XBIZ Cam Awards' were held this year on May 31st at LIV inside the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami's South Beach.  The event started out several months prior to the show with a lengthy nomination period which was followed up with a final round of voting which included only the finalists.  Of course there was some drama, but overall this is probably one of the better events. x  Best Male Cam Model: Ricky Rodeo Best Cam Duo: Matt & Steve (Oz_Gym_Boys)  Best Camsite Gay: Chaturbate Best Male Clip Artist: Johnny Stone

The AW-Summit & Awards took place on June 7th in Mamaia, Romania.  The summit portion took place at The Phoenicia Resort & while the awards event took place at the La Scoica Land Ballroom.  This was the 4th year for the awards event which was streamed live & may be viewed by following this link.  This event also included 'weighted voting' for industry workers & made their votes more important than fans.

2018 May Flirt of the Month

The May Flirt of the Month competition has come to a conclusion & the winner is Mathew Summer from Medellin, Colombia.  This is the 3rd time in 2018 that Mathew has won the monthly contest which rewards the performers who earn the most credits each month provided they broadcast at least 60 hours.  The Top 10 performers all win cash prizes with the winner taking home $1,000 in cash & will be featured on the header of the @Flirt4FreeGuys Twitter page.  The Top 10 for May are listed below along with their cash prizes...              x
