Chaturbate Sued Over Texas Age Verification Law (Updated & Reposted 03/30/24)

The State of Texas Attorney General is suing Chaturbate for non-compliance with the states new age verification laws.  The lawsuit claims Chaturbate isn't doing enough to stop minors from viewing adult content.  The lawsuit is asking for $1.78 million as well as $10k a day for every day after the lawsuits filing.

It makes me wonder what changes Chaturbate will have to make to become compliant with this law or might the camsite block access within Texas?  This has happened with other porn sites already rather than changing to become compliant in states with laws similar to Texas.  Could this force Chaturbate to change their account creation process as it pertains to free accounts (grey)?  Interesting times ahead...

*Update...

Chaturbate has made some changes for viewers who access the camsite from the state of Texas in order to comply with the states age verification law.  Any viewer who is in the state of Texas will need to have their age verified in one of two ways.  Both of these ways are found on Chaturbate's Texas age verification page.  Once a viewer is verified they won't be asked to do this during each login.  Keep in mind this is the same for all types of accounts, ones with tokens & greys who haven't purchased tokens.  In order to access Chaturbate in Virginia & Utah verification is now required.

An appeals court denied a request to put the law on hold while the entities appealing it reach out to the Supreme Court asking them to review the laws constitutionality.

What Country Has The Most Chaturbate Camguys? Here Are The Top 10!

Have you ever wondered which countries have the most camguys registered to stream on Chaturbate?  CB Explorer has a map tab that shows this information based on the country the camguy is from.  I do believe there are some discrepancies especially in the CIS countries such as Russia & Latvia.  Which countries do you think rank in the top 10 for having the most verified camguys?

I'm not sure how they came up with these numbers, now you'd think it would be based on where the camguy is from.  However I do think there are flaws in their data mining with there being only 507 combined Russian models verified m/f/c/t).  I found one such example as camguy 'khokhol1999' who is from Russia appears as the #3 most followed camguy from the United States when clicking on the country link.

If you go to the CB Explorer page & click on 'map' you will be able to sort out the top 10 camguys.  Down further, the alphabetized list (despite being labeled as your search category) is the combined total model count (male/female/couple/trans).  It's still kind of interesting to look at even if the counts aren't 100% accurate.

BelAmi Camguys On Chaturbate???

A couple of weeks ago I noticed something unusual when I switched over from Flirt-4-Free to Chaturbate to see if any of my favorites were streaming.  What caught my eye was a current BelAmi Chat Studio camguy streaming live on Chaturbate, this was on December 7 & the camguy was 'liamvasylyk'.  BelAmi has always exclusively been on Flirt-4-Free so it got me wondering what was going on.  This past week two additional BelAmi Chat Studio camguys 'robinrief' & 'hunterbridges' joined Chaturbate too.

Robin & Liam are both top 30 credit earning camguys on Flirt-4-Free while Hunter is hovering around the top 50 so these are some of the best camguys on the camsite.  The guys are camguys only & haven't (yet at least) appeared on the porn side of the studio. Will viewers be seeing more BelAmi hotties on Chaturbate or is this just a test?  As of now we don't know but keep an eye out for these guys, they are good camguys!

Website Recording Chaturbate Shows Seized

Chaturbate has taken legal action against a website that had been recording shows off their camsite for years.  The website recurbate.com was seized by Chaturbate as were two other related websites owned by an individual in Thailand.  The message below is what appears on the offending websites URL...

This is just one website that has been recording models shows off Chaturbate.  Doing a search will show many similar sites like the ones below (not a complete list) with many of them offering 'premium' options of some sort for a payment...

Chaturbate Halloween Costume Contest

Chaturbate started their annual Weekly Halloween Costume Contest on October 1 but so far we haven't seen many costumes on the camguy pages.  Let's hope we'll be seeing many more camguys show off some hot costumes as Halloween gets closer.  There will be 2 $500 prize winners each week through October 31 selected from Twitter entries & here is how camguys can enter...

New Chaturbate Feature in Beta Testing

Chaturbate is working on adding a new feature to their camsite that will help viewers who are in need of support get in touch with the camsite immediately.  This brand new feature, Live Chat Support, was suggested by camsite viewers & is now in beta testing with the best viewers on the camsite being randomly chosen to take part.  The viewers chosen as testers are being asked to provide the camsite with their feedback before it is made available camsite wide.  Below are screen shots I took of this new feature & how it currently appears, will be interesting to see what the final version includes...

Stopping Online Models From 'Poaching Viewers' On Chaturbate

Chaturbate camguys regularly see other models who are online on the camsite in their chat rooms observing the show, chatting, or trying to poach their viewers.  If an online model is doing one of the first two I don't have a problem, but the latter is a situation I feel we all have a problem with.  We see poachers all too often advertising their rooms but what can be done about it?  Moderators need to immediately silence promoters of all types but there is another solution to keep online models from poaching.  Below is a screen shot from a camguys settings area showing the options available to keep online models from even thinking about poaching viewers.  The second selection "Yes, only if they're broadcasting now" is the one most camguys would want to choose...

We all know there are sneaky ways an online model can attempt to poach viewers, in those instances a moderator needs to silence them or the camguy can just kick them.

Chaturbate Camguy Statistics From CB Explorer

On Saturday evening CamGuyNews will be sharing Chaturbate's Daily Most Popular Camguys from September 9 - 10 (7 p.m. - 7 p.m.).  I've noticed & have been asked why several of the best drawing camguys during these 24 hours periods aren't appearing in the lists from 'cbexplorer.com'.  CamGuyNews reached out to the website & was told "could be they don't have third party access enabled."  

This means camguys who don't enable this option aren't appearing on any Chaturbate affiliate camsites so sites like CB Explorer won't have statistics on them.  Not selecting this option will also limit viewers & tippers to only those who signed up directly on the Chaturbate website.  Chaturbate directly handles all customer sign-ups, payment info, camguy verifications, pay-outs, & customer service on their affiliate camsites.

A site called "webcamstats.com" is another site that tracks statistics on camguys who broadcast on Chaturbate.

The 'How To' Website on Chaturbate

Recently a friend shared a link with me to a website that shares a lot of information on 'how to' accomplish different tasks on Chaturbate.  Most of the camsites new camguys aren't aware of how to setup their Chaturbate page when they first start.  The website 'designurbate' reviews options such as profile design, fan clubs, & creating a tip menu to name a few.  CamGuyNews recommends that all new camguys, moderators, as well as any interested viewers take a look at this site so they can possibly help a newbie out. Strange Situation Sunday on Chaturbate

During new camguy 'sassyd420' show Sunday afternoon on Chaturbate an interesting situation occurred several times involving a Juvenile Troll moderator.  I have seen this same situation occur before but only involving a Juvenile Troll moderator & never any other viewer on Chaturbate.  Juvenile Troll moderator 'xxjoe_williams' silenced a few viewers in the chat room but wasn't even in the chat room when this took place.  There were 2 other moderators there at the time including Juvenile Troll 'monkey2monkey2' who was banned by Chaturbate as 'monkey2monkey1' recently.

The silencing's that took place were unjust but that is beside the point as I've received word Chaturbate is reviewing this situation & that they are taking it seriously.  I have several screen shots of the silencing's & the 'refreshed' viewer list when this took place showing the time at the bottom right in each screen shot...

The other times that I've seen this occur have involved now banned grey Juvenile Troll users 'khaleesi_heart_222' & 'khalessi_heart_222'.  Other viewers have told CGN that they have seen this strange situation occur involving other Juvenile Trolls too, but not with other non-troll viewers in the past.

Potential Bot Scam on Chaturbate - Camguys & Moderators Please Review

Wanted to share this with all Chaturbate camguys & moderators so they are aware of a potential bot scam on the camsite.  Chaturbate user 'Noiett' offers DCMA services as well as creating, modifying, & customizing bots on Chaturbate - see profile link for all of his services.  A similar but fake username of 'noiett_official' has been telling models to change their bots which gives this fake bot creator complete access to hidden shows without the model knowing.  It is thought the imposter is using other usernames such as 'cb_noiett' or similar versions...

On a final note, this bot also blocks users that the creator doesn't like and their tips don't grant them access to the shows. Once again, models have no idea.

Active Phishing/Hacking Scheme On Chaturbate

CamGuyNews wants to let all members & camguys who use Chaturbate know about a phishing/hacking scheme on the camsite.  Users with tokens are sending both camguys & users messages via 'pm' or visible on the chat screen offering free tokens along with a link to claim the offer.  'Fredaz2040' had originally attempted something similar but his profile has been deleted (CGN Post 1 & 2).  Below are the names to look out for as of now but there will surely be new ones created...

Here are screen shots of the some of the images CGN has been sent & the very last one shows the page one of the links takes the user too.  It looks exactly like Chaturbate but uses the 'May Masturbation Month' logo in the upper left hand corner.  They will ask you to login to claim your free tokens which gives them your account information...

A Truly Unique Experience On Chaturbate!

Over my many years of visiting various camsites & camguys I felt as if I had witnessed every type of cam show possible.  However this all changed the other day when I met a new camguy on Chaturbate who had asked I come by his chat room for a visit.  Once I left & returned to the 'new chat room page' I noticed one called 'negative__space' that had a unique background so I decided to check it out.  The background consisted of a few rotating images but that was only a small part of what was going on here.

The tagline for the room was "I am a dismembered penis from a distant planet, help me find my owner".  The video only showed a penis & balls moving about while the rest of the background covered up everything else.  On occasion a hand would appear & grab the penis to stroke it or a toy would rub on the penis at times too.  It was a very unique but odd production with about 7 viewers & earned no tips while online.  Below is their Chaturbate bio-section & I added their chat room tagline to it.  I cannot post the video shot that I have here but follow the chat room so you can see the dismembered penis when he makes his way back online in hopes of finding his owner!

A Hacker In The Act on Chaturbate???

A Chaturbate user this past weekend was caught attempting to give a camguy a link to some website that would help load his OnlyFans page quickly.  The Chaturbate user is 'fredaz2040' & he attempted his possible scam in an American camguys room who has appeared on Chaturbate occasionally for while.  As of late he's been attracting larger crowds & his OnlyFans is growing rapidly which could make him an attractive target for a hacker.  Here is the attempt below...      

If you are on Chaturbate & see a user ask a camguy to use some 'special page' to login to their Chaturbate account or other account take a screen shot so you can report it to the sites customer service.  A person doing this probably has bad intentions & is likely trying to hack the camguys accounts to gain control over earned tokens or change his payout information without his knowledge.

A source just told CGN that 'fredaz2040' was back in the same chat room on Monday evening sending two tip notes which the camguy acknowledged but didn't do anything & his facial expressions changed after reading them.  Please tell your favorite camguys to use caution & kick users who might be attempting this out of their chat rooms.
