AVN Awards Show Snubs Camguys?

The Adult Video News (AVN) held their annual Adult Entertainment Expo from the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, NV this past week.  The event concluded on Saturday night with the AVN Awards Show which was live streamed on the AVN website with several of the nominees for Best Male Webcam Performer Award in the audience.  For this group of male webcam performers & their supporters the event was filled with drama, disappointment, & many left questioning the legitimacy of the event. x Johnny Stone a nominee for Best Male Webcam Performer arrived at the event only to find out that he wasn't registered or a nominee despite his fans voting for him for well over a month!!! x

Many of the webcam performers nominated had their fans streaming the event to see if they won the Best Male Webcam Performer Award.  The show lasted for about 2 hours & ended without the award even being announced.  Several of the camguys in attendance were angry & disappointed in what transpired leading them to take to Twitter expressing their feelings to their fans & AVN... x

x The AVN is more about the mainstream porn industry & appears to have not fully embraced webcamming at this point.  All of the webcam awards were part of the 'Fan Awards' category & only 2-3 were actually awarded on stage.  Many mainstream porn awards were announced in videos periodically throughout the show but little attention was given to Fan Awards.  The webcam performers in attendance obviously weren't aware of this leading to the tweets above.  All the winners were added to their website shortly after show with Aamir Desire from Studio20 Guys in Romania winning the coveted award.  This result only brought questions about the legitimacy of the event... x
