Amazon Wish Lists can be a great thing for camguys but most of them aren't aware of the privacy issues associated with these lists. If the camguy doesn't correctly setup his wish list personal information such as their real name will be revealed which can have undesired consequences such as being doxxed. There are several pages a camguys info may appear including the 'proceed to check out' page - look for real names & realize your shipping city will appear but no physical address.
The best way of staying safe is to create a 'camming only email' & gifters can just send an Amazon E-Gift Card allowing the camguy to purchase items themselves. CGN has recently been made aware of two other 'gift' sites which put an emphasis on privacy of personal information for creators. These include Throne & Wishtender which several camguys have said work great as have their gifters...

I suggest camguys review how each site works as they are different than Amazon Wish Lists & have different features. Chaturbate camguy 'case222' uses Throne & recently received a backpack from one of his best fans who said the site was easy to use. Take a look at 'case222' list as it shows his item listing, recent gifters, & a gifter leader board. CGN August Camguy of the Month 'noahscottt22' has opened a Wishtender List, take a look at his list on that site. Here are links to the Throne & Wishtender websites for everyone to check out.
Looked at Throne. Seems cool but without looking closer I bet the site gets a cut on each sale. I agree the Amazon gift card is the best option.

ReplyDeleteGift cards are simple to buy and buying from all wish lists is but for models setup can be a challenge.
ReplyDeleteCGN encourages the email / gift card option because they then can use the email as an additional way to contact the model. These other list options are a ripoff. Way overpriced, shipping is additional because Prime can't be used, and no more safe. CGN continues to assume models are as dumb and computer illiterate as they are.
ReplyDeleteYou clearly missed the point, it's so sad I can't even laugh about it. Camguys use X, Instagram, &/or Snap which anyone can contact them on, email isn't needed. The E-gift card is safer for camguys to use since wish lists not setup correctly is how the trolls, doxydolla in particular, got camguys information & was proven to have doxed them. I Guess you don't want to help camguys stay safe from predators like that? The other options I 'suggested camguys consider' are safe - the sites were created with the models safety in mind unlike Amazon WL. Yes things can be more expensive, which going back to the Amazon E-gift card is a very safe way for a camguy to receive the funds from the viewer to purchase what they want/may have discussed.

I sent models lots of Amazon Cards and they are best. Wishtender and Throne are more costly but being doxed is costly too so I get a need for more security.
