Our featured performer this week is the winner of our Favorite Performer Poll... Tayler XXX. Tayler is surrounded by headlines found on & off the blog over the past few weeks. These include Sven Basquiat winning April's Flirt of the Month & sweeping both Easter Egg Hunt contests too. Finally we bring up the topic of Twitter accounts for studio performers & who is actually in charge of them...

I've had a least one model confirm that a studio does have access and sees messages exchanged on Twitter, thus causing him to create an alternative account.
ReplyDeleteThese days, studios tend to have a Twitter account that is affiliate with all their models anyway. I have noticed one studio that will create a Twitter account for, let's say, Model A and will edit/delete it when new Model B joins to replace Model A. That caused some confusion on to my timeline lol
The topic of cam models and social media is certainly one of discussion/debate as I feel there quite a few pro and cons when it comes to the two.
It all stems from studios being paranoid (likely with good reason) performers will use Twitter to setup/receive "gifts" offline that they won't get a piece of. Nearly every studio has a "Studio Twitter or Instagram" but all use it differently. Some use it expertly to promote their performers while others are a complete embarrassment who use wrong links or tweet when the performer isn't even scheduled - including the situation you point out. On individual performer accounts, I don't mind a studio having access to monitor activity or lack thereof as social media can really help performers grow their business. However, any tweeting or responding to messages should only come from a performer on that individual account, there is one studio in particular going down the wrong the path in a major way & their performers will never be featured as they have been in the past on this blog again.
